Build Your First Power BI Dashboard. In 90 Minutes.

Most small businesses still run their reporting in Excel. Spreadsheets get copied, emailed, copied again, broken, rebuilt. By the time the report reaches the right person it is already out of date. Power BI fixes this. Across three short modules with breaks in between, we will walk through the entire process: connecting to your data, cleaning it, building a working dashboard, and publishing it so your team can see live numbers without you copying anything.

What you leave with

Real skills you can apply on Monday morning, not just theory.

By the end of 90 minutes you will have built a working dashboard from a sample dataset, understood the steps from raw data to finished report, and know exactly what to do next with your own data. No prior Power BI experience required. You will need a laptop with Power BI Desktop installed (free) and a stable internet connection. Everyone who attends gets the sample files, the recording, and a follow-up email with the next steps.

Designing a clear, useful dashboard layout
Adding filters, slicers and interactive elements
Publishing your report so your team can access it
Avoiding the common mistakes that ruin dashboards

Who this is for

Business owners, operations managers, anyone tired of manual reporting.

This workshop is built for people who run a business or a team and want to stop spending hours each week pulling reports together by hand. You do not need to be technical. If you can use Excel reasonably well, you have everything you need. The focus is on the thinking, not the buttons. Why dashboards fail, what makes them useful, and how to design something your team will actually look at.

Small business owners reviewing their numbers monthly
Operations managers running manual reports
Finance teams using Excel for board reporting
Marketing managers tracking campaigns by hand
Anyone who has Microsoft 365 but no idea how to use Power BI

Bring a real report you build by hand each week, and I will give you honest, practical guidance on whether Power BI is the right fit, what the first steps would be, and roughly what it would take. Common questions

Do I need any software installed?

Yes. You will need Power BI Desktop, which is free to download from Microsoft. We will send instructions in your confirmation email.

Will the workshop be recorded?

Yes. Everyone who registers gets the recording afterwards, even if you cannot attend live.

Do I need to be technical?

If you can use Excel reasonably well, you can do this. We start from the beginning.

What if I can only stay 30 minutes?

The first 30 minutes deliver the foundation. The remaining 60 minutes build on it. The recording fills any gap.

Is there a sales pitch at the end?

No. We tell you about the paid cohorts at the end if you want to go deeper, but the workshop itself is genuine teaching from start to finish.

Can my whole team attend?

Each person needs to register individually so we can send everyone the joining details and materials.
